master of self-promotion
As you may have heard by now, Glenn Beck is planning his next self-promotional extravaganza in Israel, where he will stand on foreign soil and condemn the United States of America. He apparently has forgotten how he condemned Natalie Maines for her words about President Bush.
Glenn Beck then:
Who has hacked you off the most over the last 6 months?Dixie Chicks: Not necessarily the whole group, but definitely the fat butter hog that spoke out against Bush while in Europe only to say later that it was a joke, and then again later to say she stands behind what she said in the first place.
Regardless, Beck will be in Israel in August with "leaders" who will hold a number of events where they will condemn our country and President Obama for his policy regarding Israel.
Just today on his radio show, Glenn Beck admitted he was conferring with Israeli leaders. Who would that be?
So what exactly is going on here? When George Bush was President, any word of criticism against him was greeted with loud, red-faced shouts of "TRAITOR" and "UNAMERICAN!" How quickly they "forget". Now Glenn slaps himself on the back quite hard to praise himself for the "courage" to subvert American policy from a foreign shore, with the cooperation of other "leaders" - would this be American elected officials? Israeli officials (overtly or not)? It's unclear at this time.
Oh and of course - (the Jewish) George Soros is behind it all, Glenn says.
And speaking of forgetting, I guess Glenn forgot when the Jewish people were just another group to be the butt of his offensive racist jokes (and not, as he currently views them, the convenient lever to exploit to empower himself with his $heeple using the Rapture-Armageddon-porn they are addicted to and attack the POTUS he so personally hates).
Beck's website (subscription required) also includes the following "comedy" segments, apparently broadcast on Beck's nationally syndicated radio program:
A mock radio jingle for the species of grouper formerly known as the "jewfish," containing the line: "Close your eyes and try to picture a great big friendly jewfish -- that is unless you're Jewish. Oh yeah, and that reminds us:Jewfish get real stinky if you leave them in the car."Several short segments listing "rejected NCAA team names," including: "the Los Angeles Limp-Wrists," "the New Jersey Jumpin' Jews," and "the Atlanta Murdering Rampage of Savage Rapin' Injuns."A satirical song about the reformed "New KKK": The song details the fictitious organization's practice of "close-to-painful murdering of the dark people."
And we must not forget that Glenn is the first and foremost media personality to denigrate the suffering of Holocaust victims and survivors by continuously, flippantly comparing Glenn's political enemies to Nazis, brownshirts and Hitler. Everyone who does not agree with Glenn's extremist, right-wing radical views is Hitler.
Glenn has been condemned multiple times by Jewish groups:
Jewish Groups Condemn Glenn Beck’s Recent String Of Antisemitic Smears
Jewish groups are condemning a recent string of antisemitic smears from Glenn Beck.
The Anti-Defamation league released a statement condemning the attacks as “over the top:”New York, NY, November 11, 2010 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today criticized as “completely inappropriate and offensive” remarks by Glenn Beck on his radio and television programs, in which he inaccurately connected George Soros, who was then a young boy, to the actions of others in sending Jews to death camps during the Holocaust.
Beck was also soundly criticized by the libertarian Reason magazine:
Glenn Beck's Ridiculous Misreading of George Soros Might Not Be As Inappropriate As Busting a 14-Year-Old's Balls for How He Behaved During the Holocaust, But It Still Sets Back the Cause of Human Understanding
Matt Welch | November 12, 2010
...First and foremostly, having lived in Soros' home town of Budapest for three years, plus another five in Prague and Bratislava (and an abortive, short-term attempt to "move" to Cuba), I have become convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt about this one thing: As a native son of the free world you can and damn well should cheer a person who acted bravely in the face of a pervasive and murderous totalitarian state, but with the exception of the monsters who willfully abused power there, you had better err massively on the side of reticence before casting negative judgment on the compromises that captive citizens made under a pressure we literally cannot fathom. This goes doubly for pubescent kids, and off the freakin' charts when it comes to a 14-year-old Jew in Jew-butchering Hungary in 1944 trying to stay alive. I would think that this would be a common-sense thing, but I am constantly surprised by how quickly people are willing to toss decency and basic rationality out the window when discussing a hate figure from the other team.
Glenn, you are truly a craven scumbag without equal.
I will be spending my prayer time praying that you renounce your American citizenship and remain in Israel, since you seem to hate our country so much.
