One his Fox show on September 16th, Glenn Beck asserted that the Democratic opponent to Republican/Tea Party candidate for Senate in Delaware, Christopher Coons, is a "Marxist." This comes from a column that Coons penned in his student newspaper after returning from a trip to Africa. It was entitled, "Chris Coons: The Making of a Bearded Marxist." The column follows:

Coons never called himself a Marxist, and Politico, an online news organization that uncovered and originally reported on this opinion piece that Coons wrote 25 years ago, never claimed that he did. The title is a play off of what Coons said was a joke by his friends. The Coons campaign reinforced this fact in a statement to Politico:
Dave Hoffman, a Coons campaign spokesman, said the title of the article was designed as a humorous take-off on a joke Coons's college friends had made about how his time outside the country had affected his outlook. [Emphasis added]Hoffman said the trip to Kenya helped lead to Coons's decision to become a Democrat."Chris wrote an article about a transformative experience during his semester in Kenya more than twenty-five years ago," said Hoffman in a statement to POLITICO. "After witnessing crushing poverty and the consequences of the Reagan Administration's 'constructive engagement' with the South African apartheid regime, he rethought his political views, returned to the America he loved and proudly registered as a Democrat."
Facts like this do not matter to Glenn Beck and others at the Republican/Tea Party smear machine, Fox "News." More than likely, whenever Beck addresses the race between Republican/Tea Party candidate Christine O'Donnell and Coons, he will deceitfully continue to call Coons a Marxist no matter what the evidence to the contrary. On the 16th, as he talked about Chris Coons, someone on his show made a slip that some of Beck's critics consider a racist slap. It is at the minimum another little lie. That quote on the display was from Coons After Africa.

If there were a video of O'Donnell being interviewed by someone in the news media (Fox propaganda does not count), it would follow. However, she is eschewing the news media; and Maddow was not allowed an interview.

At least you should go to the trouble to post a picture that can be read if you are going to make such an accusation. Talk about incompetence!
Nice try again, there Jack. The only words that matter for the point I was making are the ones you can read. The text that you cannot read is printed in the article that you can or should be able to read above.
Man, these low grade assaults are getting old. Talk about pathetic. Well, we weren't, but you are.
You know, I write a lot of stuff that requires illustrations. I have to provide clear and readable copy in order for it to get approved. But then again, there are standards where I work we have to adhere to.
If you can't read the article above, perhaps you need a different browser. I can read it fine using Google's Chrome. I'm quite fond of it really.
Again, you entirely miss the point of the image of Beck before his screen. "Coons in Africa" is a racist headline and it's dishonest. Coons After Africa would not have been racist or dishonest. I guess the standards on the Glenn Beck show are pretty damn low.
