The point is...
Colbert is a clown, a fake pundit and, at times for comedic purposes, he is absurd. Stephen Colbert is the Glenn Beck of comedy. One difference is that Colbert knows that what he says is absurd. Beck thinks that he is a "thinker." Another difference is that Colbert is funny; Beck is serious to his followers and maddening to his detractors; there's nothing funny about the "jokes" that he delivers.
